How to get your business mentioned by ChatGPT and Google AI
More customers now ask an AI assistant for recommendations instead of scrolling through search results. If the AI doesn't know about your business, you aren't in the conversation.
How AI assistants decide what to mention
AI tools build their answers from information that is clear, consistent and repeated across trusted sources. A business that explains itself plainly on its own website and is mentioned consistently elsewhere is easier for them to recommend.
1. Say clearly what you do, for whom and where
Each service should have its own page that answers: what it is, who it's for, where you work, what it costs or how pricing works, and common questions. Vague slogans don't help an AI understand you.
2. Answer real questions
Write pages and articles that answer the questions customers actually ask. FAQ sections are useful because they match how people phrase questions to an assistant.
3. Be consistent everywhere
Use the same business name, description, location and contact details on your website, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn and business directories. Inconsistency makes you look like several different businesses.
4. Collect genuine reviews
Reviews on Google and trusted review sites are a strong trust signal for people and for AI tools. Ask happy customers regularly and reply to every review.
5. Add structured data
Schema markup tells search engines exactly what your business, services and FAQs are. It is invisible to visitors but helps machines read your site correctly.
